The Ritz-Carlton Bacara is located on the edge of the Santa Barbara coast. The design aims to evoke the spirit of Spanish Colonial Revival architecture. Every spatial sequence was designed with the guest journey in mind, from the compressed intimacy of the arrival court to the expansive ocean views beyond, the architecture builds a sense of discovery that unfolds gradually. We wanted to create a resort that is a true representation of Santa Barbara: rooted in its history, shaped by its landscape, and built to be experienced fully.
